NewDotNet is a browser hijacker and can update itself without any input from you. Anything that modifies your windows HOSTS file is a hijacker and we don't want it! The "purpose" of this is to add support for additional domains like .AGENT .INC .LOVE .SHOP .SPORT. We suggest you remove this.
This junk has become common enough for MS to address it!
There is an option under the add/remove programs list. You should see something called New.net Application or New.net Domains remove it that way. If that fails they have an additional uninstall utility available here. Make sure you do both of these before proceeding or else you could end up having quite a few issues with your browser!
